So you want to write a book…

Go read this article before you even think about writing a book!

80% of the U.S. population does NOT buy or read books, and yours will have to compete with about one million other books being published each year…

First answer these questions beforehand to ensure your book has a market: Do you know your audience/market intimately?  And how do you plan to reach that market?

Remember it’s not about YOU or your book—it’s about what readers have to gain from reading your book.  In the end they need to know: “What’s in it for me?”

Trust me!  Every word of this is true!  Look for a long time BEFORE you leap!
