Did you ever wonder about this?

As I begin the arduous task of writing yet another book, I was struck with a funny conundrum the other day, and wanted to share my findings with you.

One would think that after three graduate degrees and twenty-five years as an academic librarian, I would know the different reasons for a preface, a foreword, or an introduction.  But I didn’t.

In the process of finding my answer, I also found an informative website which those of you considering self-publishing might benefit from.              Here’s what I found.

This answer helped me not only clarify these definitions, but also helped me structure my book more effectively.
